Moving to the reds, the 2019 Pinot Noir SBC (mostly destemmed and brought up in 10% new French oak) reveals a ruby hue as well as a terrific perfume of ripe red fruits (strawberries, raspberries) intermixed with classic leafy herbs, forest floor, and spice-laced aromas and flavors. Pure, clean, and classic on the palate, it’s medium-bodied, has beautiful fruit, silky tannins, and is just an incredibly charming, satisfying Pinot Noir to enjoy over the coming 4-5 years.
