Winemaker Notes
Opulent and concentrated, the 2015 Schrader CCS offers abundant aromas of blackberry and cassis with notes of jasmine flowers and licorice that burst out of the glass and wrap the senses. Full-bodied with monumental richness and velvety, well-integrated tannins, the Schrader CCS will continue to appreciate for decades to come.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard CCS is the gem in the lineup and is a perfect wine in every sense. Possessing a deep purple color, awesome minerality in its graphite, blueberry, cassis, and spice-driven aromatics, full-bodied richness and a weightless, elegant yet powerful style that needs to be tasted to be believed, this heavenly 2015 glides over the palate and is as seamless and pure as they come. Ideally it will be given a few years of bottle and it’s capable of developing for 20+ years.
Wine Spectator – 94 points
Marked by firm, ripe, dusty, loamy tannins that give this textural distinction and evidence that short-term cellaring is the best route for enjoyment. Tiers of spicy berry, loamy earth and smoky oak fold in nicely, adding to the experience. Best from 2021 through 2034.
Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate – 99 points
Characteristic of this vintage, there is magnificent fat, sucrosity and thickness on display in all of these wines. They are inky black/purple and seemingly low in acidity, but according to Thomas Rivers Brown the acids were quite sound and healthy. The tannins are present, but so well-disguised by the high levels of glycerin and sucrosity that they are not that noticeable. Several of these wines, including the Schrader, CCS, T6 and LPV have the potential for perfect scores. These will be thrilling to taste next year and will continue the incredible legacy that Schrader Cellars has developed over the years.
