It appears to be a shortie pajama set or some loose fitting panty and top set. Top has wide shoulder straps with a front panel of sheer gathered chiffon and elastic just below the bust line. The bottoms are loose leg panties with an elastic waist and a sheer chiffon panel at the hem. New old stock from a clothing store that had been closed for 40+ years, still wearing the Luxite Lingerie tag which was tied to the shoulder strap. It reads Luxite Lingerie wins Fashion Academy Gold Medal Award. On the back is washing tips and 'Luxite Lingerie by Holeproof Rayon Fabric, Nylon Trimming'. This label was in use from 1917 to 2001. I did remove it from the packaging n order to give this set a gentle handsoak. Beautiful condition with no issues, unworn of course. Fabric is a pale pink nylon. Both pieces are tagged a 14.
